For a chick flick, I REALLY liked this movie. Its more than just a... chick flick. Its relatable, not over the top romantic, and really kind of a deep story. I wouldn't go so far as to say watch this on a "bros night out," but maybe on a date, with female friends, etc... maybe not family though, it gets a little risque ;)

Maggie (Cameron Diaz): A selfish, really quite whorish, uneducated beauty who makes it in the world through sleeping with men. Rose (Toni Collette): The conservative of the two, she works at a law firm and makes her way through the world through her brains (well, sort of).

One thing I must say about this movie... it may be the typical run of the mill romance, but its also much more than that. Hanson pulls this movie off excellently with substance. While I won't go so far as to say I'd remember this forever, it has a lot of weight to it and could help a lot of people see things clearer.

Pretty, but the value isn't in the visual.
